The company emphasizes the friendliness and convenience of its services, and this is reflected in the way their employees are treated. Surely, the job is one that may become rather stressful during busy times, but everybody I worked with was very supportive, including the supervisors. Overall, I think working for Starbucks Corp. was fun and rewarding, and it's perfect for all those coffee-holics out there (one free drink per shift)!

I worked as a barista for a short time during school and had many friends who did the same, and while I wouldn't want to stay in that position forever it certainly served its purpose very well. I always received a little better than minimum wage (at 17, mind you!) and I hear these days it's about $5-7 above minimum, plus tips. Also, anyone who works 20hrs gets great health benefits, etc. A fantastic place to work if you're a student. My dad has also been a corporate manager for over 10 years and still enjoys it.

I think the best about starbucks is that they do care about part time workers.
We have health plan, stock option, a free bag of coffee bean or tea box per week, 40% off on partner shopping week and 30% on the usual days, and they are all available for part time workers.
I enjoy working at starbucks, but it takes a little bit of luck to have a great store manager(Thank you Mike:)

I work at the starbucks in Canada, and the compensation is almost $10 per hours.
I get as many hours as I want, and it's also very flexible at my store.
Frankly, I think starbucks have great pay-roll as a part time job
