Smith Barney is close to the Big Four Accounting Firms but not there yet, so getting in is not too difficult but you still need to prepare well. If you are from one of the better universities and are those more motivated students (I guess those who use this site), then it shouldn't be a big problem.

Managers are usually not mintute-watchers. There is a big group of interns, so it is fun working with like-aged people. Overall, job is quite felible and it's easy to transfer between different internship positions.

As a big accounting firm, the compensation is usually quite competitive here. They try to use compensation as a lure to get Big 4 talents.

Only intern for course credit, but nonethess a very valuable learning experience and can network a lot.
