The culture at Navigant is truly great. Everyone in the company is very young, everyone is very friendly, and the Partners are always open to talking with you at anytime. Your incoming class is like a family. You start together, go to training together, and get promotions (hopefully) together. I like that you have a start class of about 10 people because it creates a fun atmosphere in the company.

I am a 2nd year consultant with Navigant. It is true that a big part of being a 1st or 2nd year consultant here is making binders. But, that does not mean that is everyone's path. I have made less than 5 binders in my last year here and never had to work a weekend. I have gotten to do real analysis that has even become final work product. My mentors and managers always take the time to sit down and teach me something I do not know how to do. I have learned so much my last year here, and it is because of the people I work with and the opportunities they give me. If you speak up, you will gain the best work experience and learn more than you ever learned in college.

Everyone is young, funny, and a lot of fun. We have casual summers (jeans from memorial day to labors day!) and business casual for the rest of the year. Our kitchen at the LA office is always stocked wtih great snacks and beverages, and I get free lunches many times a quarter.

$55K salary and $3K signing bonus became $59K salary after 6 months of working. At the next year end, I expect to be making 10% more...so roughly $65K as a 2nd year consultant working ~50 hour work weeks, 3 weeks vacation, 2 floating holidays each year, and 10 sick days.

You will learn a lot as a consultant here from your peers and your mentors. Training is held many times a year in Chicago, so everyone always signs up to go - you will learn AND have a great time. The company itself is growing constantly as well in organic and inorganic ways. In these current economic times, this industry (Litigation Consulting) is thriving as people try to protect themselves and their assets.

Navigant is a great company. The outlook of the firm looks strong, the management and leaders are all very smart and they are great people to learn from, and my peers are all very fun and friendly.
