Pretty basic growth model at Navigant Consulting. After about 2 years, you can be promoted to the Senior Consultant level. After that, it takes about another three years. You really do need to wait for your window of opportunity, even if you stand out by working hard.

Promotion in the company, especially from the Consultant to Senior Consultant level, is a standard set time rather than merit. Navigant will promote you when it's your time to get promoted. If you've been working hard and standing out, you will not get promoted early. If you've been lagging and just doing the bare minimum, you will most likely get promoted just like everyone else.
