=What is the company culture like??>
My peers are very fun to work with. The reason I go to work and tolerate it everyday is because I love the people that I work with. Most of the people work about 40 hours a week which allows plenty of time for a great work/life balance.
The culture at the company is one of frustration. Everyone is always on high-alert because of the tight deadlines and the stress of our job. I feel that I work relatively long hours (about 55 hours a week) and don't get the recognition I deserve. The managers and directors don't really go out of their way to make friends with you or talk to you if you're a first year in the company.
The company culture is very political and the management does not lead by example. If anything goes wrong, the first person they turn to is you! Although working at Amgen will get you get credibility because they're a big brand name, I do not recommend to work here because you will not have a pleasant time.
The culture in Thousand Oaks is quite good. There is a diverse group of people. Diversity is encouraged. Dress code for associates are casual and business casual for managers. Most people here are nice and friendly.
