Amgen has a great 401K plan, a great educational reinbusement program, a very good on site training program, and is perfect for personal and professional development. You not only get great pay, but the experience you get can be carried over to any other company or industry. I learn something new everyday on the job.
We get 3 weeks starting vacation, 15+ days of company holiday, and 10 days for our family. The 401K compensation plan is perfect. Amgen is very recognized, so you will have a big name on your resume after working here.
The pay for an IT professional at Amgen is less than stellar. We get paid 15-20% less than the industry standard and get worked just as much or even more than my peers at similar companies. The company does offer a performance based bonus; however, it is not guaranteed and it definitely does not make up for the gap.
Salary depends on your position. In general, it's around $40,000 at the bottom level. For senior associate and first tier manager it's around $70,000. Then for senior managers it's $100,000+. All level have benefits and good vacation days.
