The dress is usually biz-casual, except I-banking or when meeting clients. Sometimes during the summer some of the salespeople even go as far and wear polo's!
Your bosses are degrading and make you feel incompetent in almost anything you do. Your sense of confidence will be lowered as they only want to take advantage of their valuable workers to further their own goals.
I think that a lot of people at goldman have a superiority complex of some sort, but for the most part, this is limited to the hot shots or money makers.
Goldman is very supportive of diversity, yet they do not seem to compromise talent for diversity.
Most be people are smart, but at the same time are normal as well which is a nice change in the finance world.

Well, I heard that GS's revenue fell to the 30-40%s this year. They seem to be clearly struggling.

I spoke with my friend in New York who works for GS, and she said that even though every company around them seems to be falling apart, GS is staying strong. Recruitment may slow down a bit, but there are no signs of danger for the company.
