I found the interview process to be selective. The people that I work with are smart and come from a wide variety of schools and backgrounds. I like that we accept anyone who is qualified. We recruit from competitive schools, but we definitely don't recruit much from the Ivy League schools.

Very flexible office environment. I am able to have a great work/life balance. I love that I'm able to work hard during the day, and am always able to enjoy my nights and weekends. The people at the office are fun and we laugh a lot at the office all of the time.

There is an entrepreneurial environment around the office. We are allowed to take ownership of our work, and manage our own schedules and teams. As a manager in the company, I travel for business development and mainly work at the office.

FTI is a very great place to work at. I can choose to get staffed on projects where I travel, and I can also choose to get staffed on projects where I stay at the office. If you work hard and stand out, then you will get promoted. We don't just promote people who have stayed with the company for a certain period of time. We promote those who deserve it.

The company does not have an up or out policy. You generally have a set window of time to get promoted. On average, expect two years before getting your first promotion. From then on, it highly depends on your work ethic and abilities.

It is easy to have a good work/life balance. I am able to finish all of my work at the office, rarely take any work home, and almost never work on the weekends. Of course when there is a deadline, everyone puts in the extra effort until the job is done. Travel completely depends on the project that you are working on.
