=An overall view of Deutsche Bank?>
There is no shouting here at Deutsche. The office environment is open and relaxed (well, for an Investment Bank). The Managers are very welcoming and will help you out as much as they can. They do expect you do learn things very quickly though.
This is a great company to work for because it will give you great experience and the brand name is very well known. Although the experience is great, it is a very structured environment and there is no room for new thought or an entrepreneurial mindset. The people are fun and and the VPs are professionals you can really look up to.
Deutsche trains and develops its own employees to progress through the company. They prefer to develop a professional through the ranks rather than get someone from the outside. Therefore, the training and guidance is top notch.
The job is hard and the hours are long. We do get some great perks at the office though. They pay for our dinners, cell phone, gym, and transportation. Deutsche works you hard but takes very good care of you.
Very stressful environment, long hours, no pat on the back if you've done a good job. The Senior Managers are very demanding and you pretty much do anything that they don't want to do themselves. I prefer to keep a work/life balance, which I do not get here.
The company has a very political structure. Deutsche is much like a Frat, where people will haze you when you're a newcomer in the company. It's all in good fun and it sets a pretty standard culture that everyone must abide by, but at times it can get a little rough and unnecessary. Deutsche is a great bank with a great reputation, but the environment is very tough.
The VPs and Directors are very encouraging and make your experience at Deutsche very rewarding. They work hard at making a fun and friendly environment and keep a strong open door policy. Just like any other I-Bank, you will spend many sleepness nights at the office, but the people here make the experience worth while.
Make sure to get a VP or top Manager as a mentor or close friend because they will definitely help you out when it comes time for a promotion. Advancement in the company is completely up to you, your hard work, and how well you can network in the company. This is a tough culture but very fair.
