I have very low motivation to work here. I travel close to 70% of the time and have very little time for family or friends. You get a lot of work and very little pay here, so I would recommend to work at a Big Four if you go into Accounting.
Employees within the firm are given the opportunity to succeed. If you stand out and show that you are working hard, then the company management will take notice and award you accordingly. Crowe does a great job at making each employee feel appreciated.
This is a great place to start your career. It is a very fast-paced environment with a big focus on career development and training. I feel I have more responsibility than my friends at the Big 4 because of the small company size. I have more face time with clients and upper management than my peers at the big four as well.
There is no work-life balance at Crowe Chizek. The management is only focused on billable hours and getting the project completed. It doesn't matter if we have to stay nights and weekends. The goal is to get the work done and go home. Very few opportunities for office culture-building or hang outs after work.
The management does not do a great job of communicating to the non-management employees. I often don't know what direction the company is headed and what our goal is for this year. If management did a better job at communicating, then I would feel a greater sense of ownership for my company and I would work harder to achieve our set goals.
