The people make this place great! They care about customers, the community, and each other. I learned more from my coworkers at Bell than I did in school.
Like any group larger than a hundred, the culture varied by department. Overall, they cared about the customer, community, & each other. Some groups were more stressed than others, but I always loved working with my teams.
I always felt they were competitive. They seemed willing to work with you.
If you had the hunger, there were always opportunities. I wouldn't say it was fast, but I think it was "just right" given the nature of the business.
I think it depends on the department & role. Some groups--like Product Mgt--were VERY competitive because they were essentially the business owners. I never felt that it was unfair, but every department definitely wanted skills.
