Pixar is one the top 3D Animated Movies companies. The people here are some of the most talented guys in the field. It is definitely tough to get in, but once you do, you will be surrounded by a bunch of smart people that will make your time worthwhile.
The compensation here is not super good. I think since they lure people in by their reputation, they do not feel pressured to pay their employees higher. The benefits are pretty decent though.
There are lots of opportunities of growth at Pixar. However, there seems to be some level of favoritism, as people who were in the company earlier tend to hire and promote the people they are close to more. This is probably inevitable in any organizaton though.
The culture here is great. However, after it has been merged with Disney, there is more of a bearacracy in the firm. Things were much better before that.
