=An overall view of Office Teams?>
Since it is a staffing agency, it changes all the time... As a temp, I've been called in to do everything from being a security gaurd to HR help... So far I have nothing negative to say about the work itself
I worked at the SB Office Teams office. Workload was very sparodic, so if you need a job for steady income this probably isn't for you. I did make $14 an hour for most of the jobs, which were mostly very simple with a lot of down time. $14 isn't bad for entry level, especially when the work is laid back!
They really only do take pretty bright and qualified applicants. If you make it through a fairly easy first round interview, they make you take a 3 hour skills test. this includes everything from typing speed to basic accounting. They hire you based on those results. I didn't get the job my freshman year when I applied because my typing was horrible and I didn't have any specialized skills. I did get it the second time around (2 years later).
If you do poorly or are unprofessional at the place you temp at, they probably won't call you again. I was working at the San Ysidro ranch fairly regularly, but one of the temp agents didn't tell me I was working a certain shift, so I missed it. I didn't get called back for that job, even though it wasn't my fault. Just make damn sure you are on time and don't mess up.

There isn't really a culture. They call you up randomly and ask if you can do job x at time x, and that's about as far as your relationship goes. You then fax in a time sheet with the supervisors name. The culture at the place you are working at probably isn't going to be that great either, because chances are you are not going to work there regularly and make friends..
As far as I know, there isn't a whole lot of room for growth. If you do a good job, have a special request from a company you temped at, then you might get called more... which is good because the pay isn't bad. If you are specialezed, like an accountant, you can make a lot more too.
